About the Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation
Company Information
The WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation is located in Battle Creek, Michigan and was started in 1983 under the name Classic Aircraft Corporation. The company reincarnated the WACO YMF using a 50-year-old design and manufactured it new, under the original FAA type certificate.
Classic Aircraft Corporation was initially comprised of engineers from Piper, Taylorcraft and Ford, and the team modernized the WACO YMF implementing over 300 engineering changes.
The first WACO YMF classic rolled off the assembly line and received FAA certification under the original WACO type certificate in March 1986. The first WACO YMF Super Biplane was introduced in1991.
Today, the WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation is the only company in the world to produce new, FAA certified classic biplanes of this type.
